Aircraft Crash in Lagos: Rescue Operation Saves Crew and Passengers from Wreckage

Authorities have confirmed to BBC Pidgin that an aircraft has crashed in the Ikeja area of Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the aircraft, with registration number 5NCCQ, belongs to Airfirst Hospitality and Tour Ltd. The unfortunate incident occurred in close proximity to Lagos Airport.

In the aftermath of the crash, NEMA, along with LASEMA (Lagos State Emergency Management Agency), Fire Service, security agencies, and other stakeholders, swiftly carried out a search and rescue operation. Miraculously, two crew members and two passengers were rescued from the wreckage.

Pictures and videos circulating on social media show a gathering of people around the helicopter's remains, while brave firefighters work diligently to extinguish the flames. The situation has garnered significant attention on social platforms due to its impact and the response of the rescue teams.
